Our Fathers

With Father's Day nearly upon us, I created a little tongue-in-cheek tribute to our fathers in a figurative sense...  (Yes, that's George Washington playing the violin for you!)

My 'spirit of '76' necklace features a commemorative pendant of the fathers of our country signing the Declaration of Independence (and just in time for the 4th of July!), while a really unique rhinestone king pendant pays tribute to the royalty of other nations...

And this dazzling rhinestone and rosary double-strand necklace showcases a vintage heart pendant that is actually a stanhope with the Lord's Prayer inside.

Now for the man who is literally my own father... Thank you dad for a lifetime of love, lessons, good advice, grilled meats, car maintenance, tax preparation, and laughter!  Happy Father's Day, everyone!  :)

Bohemian Garden

I've been inspired by so many of the beautiful images I'm seeing around the internet featuring 'boho chic' styling these days!  Perfect for summer, I wanted to incorporate this feeling into my latest jewelry collection.  At the risk of not wanting to swipe the many gorgeous photos I've found on Pinterest and other sites here on my blog, I might suggest that you search words like 'vintage bohemian' to get an idea of exactly what I was going for.  With a colour palette of lace, wheat, honey, cornflower blue, and morning sky, as well as a focus on florals, I hope these pieces will be both easy for a lazy summer day, and special enough for a garden party or wedding.

All of these pieces will be available in my Etsy shoppe on Sunday, June 9.  Please feel free to contact me prior to that if you have any questions.  Merci beaucoup for stopping by and have a beautiful summer weekend, mes amis!  x o

A Simple Summer Day

With the weather this nice, I try to get out and take walk in my neighborhood each day.  I usually walk to the post office first (with packages to customers!), then around some of the residential streets nearby.

I'm reminded of how fortunate I am to live among such beauty, and today I wanted so share these simple pleasures with you.

I've always loved the gargoyles adorning this house; they remind me of the ones on the Notre Dame cathedral in Paris!

I also finished up some earrings today that I've just listed in my Etsy shoppe...

Please stay tuned next time for my 'bohemian garden' collection, coming soon!  Until then, I hope you're all enjoying the simple joys of summer!  :)
