Rhinestones are a Girl's Best Friend
Sure, diamonds are nice too, but with the rising cost of fuel these days, rhinestones offer a budget-friendly alternative. Here are some examples I picked up at today's foggy flea market (brr...), as well as some other pieces I've had in my collection for a while.
Dazzling bracelets just waiting to be upcycled...
Some of these larger brooches have been with me for a few years. The leaf-shaped example belonged to my Aunt Dottie who, now in her 90s, still has great taste!
I inherited these early 1960s beauties from my grandmother. Though I'll probably make a necklace for myself with the crown pin, I'll never sell any of them.
Sparkling earrings!
A kiss on the hand may be quite continental
but rhinestones are a girl's best friend! x o

Looks like you had a successful trip to the flea market - you got a lot of pretty pieces to work with.
ReplyDeleteHave a great week.
Love me some rhinestones too!!!! How was the bounty at the flea this weekend??? Went to auction on Saturday and it was a fight to get anything, paid high prices on most things, lots of competition but it was fun! Have a great week Robyn, and happy creating!
ReplyDeleteBling galore! I'm sure you'll have fun playing with these pieces. I also recognize that blue velvet lined box... :)
ReplyDeleteI'm watching you grow and you are doing a great job! I'm planning to go to the Alemany Flea Market this weekend. Do you ever go? It is fabulous...Wanna go?
