Darkness and Light

I don't know if it's just me, but my Blogger composition screen has completely changed and I can't figure it out at all! I was lucky to get these photos uploaded, but can't seem to type in between them! If anyone knows the secret, I'd appreciate some help! In the meantime, here's what I've been up to in the jewelry studio this week. A combination of darkness and light as we transition into a new season. Sorry for the sloppy formatting. French Opulence

This week I've been playing with traditional French imagery, rhinestones, gemstones and lots of je ne sais quoi... ooh, la, la!

Hunting Party

Just a quick post today to show you a couple of new items I've listed in The French Circus.

A sweet pair of pearl, rhinestone, and blue gemstone crown earrings, fit for Marie Antoinette herself!

And an equestrian-themed bracelet featuring a sterling-plated horse medal, and rhinestone 'sturrips'!

I thought these colourful briolettes look like little balloons, which is why I've named this piece, 'hunting party'!

My Day Job

I often allude to my 'day job' here on the blog, but today I thought I'd show you a little behind-the-scenes peek, since it was a particularly fun photo op. I work at a cosmetology school, and here our students are re-creating a couple of Marie Antoinette-esque models for a professional shoot. You can imagine how much fun it is to step out of my office for a few minutes and witness this happening!

Our students learn some really cool hair and makeup techniques. I wish I could hire one of them to come over and help me get ready every morning! ;)
