Squirreling Away
These past few months, I've been taking advantage of visiting as many of our local flea markets as possible, knowing full well that I won't feel like going as often once the chilly fall and winter weather arrives. I've been stockpiling vintage treasures, to be harvested and used to feed my creativity during the darker days ahead.
Bracelets of cameos, rhinestones, flowers and French souvenirs will soon be disassembled and repurposed as earrings and necklaces.
A girl can never have too many antique portrait pendants and lockets. And look at the detail on those petit point roses!
Of course, a few more rhinestones never hurt anyone either.
Crowns and royalty!
And here is a sneak peek at a couple of new designs I made this week.
This necklace, called 'queen of pearls' is a study in white and silver. The pendant is from France and is complemented by creamy pearls, moonstone, rhinestones and crowns.
'cherubs and roses' features an old brass finding in the image of a cherub playing the cymballs. He is sweetly adorned with a heart, petit point flower, and stones and rosary beads in shades of pink, green and plum.
These designs will be arriving in my Etsy shoppe tomorrow, and I've already begun working on some more ideas. Hint: they will be inspired by my upcoming trip to Paris! Until then, have a beautiful week.
