Tapestry

Do you ever stop to ponder at what a tapestry life is?
A rich, woven mural of experiences, joys, sorrows, lessons, loves,
people, places, things,
memories of the past, and dreams for the future.
This week I drew from a variety of styles and symbolic references,
colours and textures,
to create a tapestry of sorts,
a buffet offering from which different pieces may hold different meaning
to different people.
From carved bone tusks to a mother of pearl dove,
Victorian and Art Nouveau lockets
to petit point and a prayer card pendant.
Cream, blue, green, pink, silver, gold...
there is something for everyone in this tapestry we call life.
Thank you for stopping by and have a beautiful week! :) Robyn

  2. Robyn, I really really love this week's jewels! You are an amazing designer! Everything is incredibly pretty and I love what inspires it...it reminds me of one of my favorite songs by Carol King (my mom's influence when I was growing up), Tapestry.

[My life has been a tapestry of rich and royal hue, and everlasting vision of the everchanging view. A wonderous woven magic in bits of blue and gold, A tapestry to feel and see, impossible to hold...]

Keep going, I can't wait to see more of your tapestry ;-)

    1. Thank you so much for your kind words, Alessandra. One of these pieces will be coming your way very soon! ;)

I am not familiar with that song at all, but the coincidence is uncanny! I will have to try and You Tube it or something. Thanks for sharing! :)
