A Touch of Velvet

I have always loved velvet for its rich, luxirous quality and lately I've been incorporating bits of it into my jewelry designs. I like the surprise element of backing a pendant with the fabric, and maybe a few words cut from a vintage prayer card.

To give this bracelet some punch, I lined an antique steel cut buckle with regal red velvet peeking through.

In other jewelry news, I recently acquired many new and vintage items thanks to my good friend Danette, that I will be listing on The Paris Carousel throughout the next few weeks. Here's a sneak preview of just some of the offerings:

There will be lots of affordable cameos...

And rhinestones, rhinestones, rhinestones!

Merci beaucoup for stopping by! Have a beautiful week, mes amis! :)

  1. Hi Robyn ~

I like velvet a lot too, especially if it's silk!

    Au Revoir,

  2. I love the velvet box used as a prop too! While its too hot here to think about wearing velvet clothing, your velvet-lined jewelry is delicious!
