Greetings

Before jewelry design, I actually began my crafting journey by making greeting cards! Though I have little time to devote to it these days, I do still enjoy playing with paper and glue, laying out different 'scenes' with vintage images and found bits. Not much different from assemblage jewelry, but in a more light-hearted medium.

Since I had a bit of extra time on my hands last week (vacation from my day job!), I spent one entire afternoon putting some cards together that I can use throughout the year to send to friends and family for birthdays and other occasions. Here is my desk mid-construction - kind of a mess!

With the help of the French General and K. and Co. lines of papers and embellishments, both available at Michael's, I was able to assemble over 40 cards in a snap!

How great are these French-inspired textured labels? Just peel and stick!

They even have cameos available! Jewelry for your cards!

I always like to include a little handmade 'thank you' note in each of my jewelry orders, so you may be receiving one of these with your next purchase from The French Circus.

I hope you've enjoyed seeing another side of my creative endeavors. New jewelry designs will be coming to my Etsy shoppe on Monday. Have a wonderful weekend! :)

I made cards for a while several years ago - but slacked off - don't know why.

  2. With your usual flair, such lovely and colorful handmade cards, Robyn. I don't think I have been to Michael's this year - time to check out their French General items! Happy Weekend to you.
